"I enjoy banking at the State Bank of the Lakes because of the personal attention I receive. I like the friendly atmosphere and always feel welcome. I have my checking account, savings accounts and even my mortgage with the bank. I have been banking at the Lindenhurst facility for a very long time, but I also like the convenience of some of the other locations (on my way home from work).
Whenever I have a financial dilemna or question, the bank personnel always find time to fit me in and make sure I understand the financial ramifications associated with my decisions.
I have used the banking professionals to help me with loan advice, savings bonds, mortagages and savings accounts. They have always been more than helpful and I always left the bank more educated and satisfied with my decisions after having consulted with one of these very knowledgeable professionals.

"The reason State Bank of the Lakes is my bank is because it was my Grandmother's bank, my parent's bank, my bank and now my children bank here. I remember when I was little going through the drive through with my mom...My brothers and sisters waited, hoping that the teller would see us so we could get the tootsie rolls. When the tumbler came back there was usually the tell tale clanging of the chocolaty tootsie rolls inside. When I tell my kids I have to go to the bank, they all come running."

"The aura of "my bank" is not business only, but "Sit down and chat a while" without wasting any of my time. The atmosphere is clearly friendly and comfortable without being artificial.
The "beyond-the-call" services such as shredding, antique and coin evaluations, and documentary assistance at our hom
have engendered a strong loyalty on our part.
Therefore, even though we have moved two states away, our bank continues to be State Bank of The Lakes. Wonderful people who recognize us make the difference, not a coffee pot."

"I have been dealing with this bank since 1967 and everyone has allways been very helpfull and have answered my questions no matter how dumb they may have sounded. It just seems to me that the bank has grown a bunch through the years but the quality of the people that work for the bank has not slipped at all. Good people!!"

"When the Lake Villa branch switched last year to become part of State Bank of The Lakes, it was a no brainer for me. The staff remained the same with the changeover and that made all the difference in switching to State Bank of the Lakes. Each time I enter the bank I'm greeted by someone and often more than just one person. I think of the television show, "Cheers", where everyone knows your name. It's that type of personal family banking service that I like. One of the tellers, Christina, has been so kind to my granddaughter and me when the two of us come by to empty the piggy bank and go to the toy chest for a prize.
You won't find a friendlier, well-run bank anywhere than the Lake Villa branch of State Bank of the Lakes. Oh, did I mention the free cookies?"

"An SBA Loan was new for us, but State Bank of The Lakes basically did all the work. It's a cooperative feeling, I recommend it to other business owners."

"We've been pleased with the way the bank helped us grow our business. We've never left State Bank of The Lakes, we haven't found anything comparable."

"State Bank of The Lakes there is friendlier service. They know me when I walk through the door. Plus, they always take the time to talk with me,"

"Being a member allows us the opportunity to visit locations, see presentations and enjoy the company of other members that we may not have experienced otherwise"
